Requirements

Candidates must have strong experience with Ruby or Ruby on Rails, write tests, and understand their value. A desire to learn, openness to feedback, and understanding of design patterns and clean code are essential. Experience mentoring or coaching junior engineers is required. Bonus points for experience scaling or working on high-scale web applications, past experience in e-commerce or health-tech, experience with React or similar technology, and experience with GraphQL.

Responsibilities

The Senior Developer will plan solution designs, implement business logic for the core e-commerce platform, and build/maintain integrations with external services like Stripe, Avatax, and ERP systems. They will also build internal APIs, solve performance issues, contribute to technical improvements, develop and maintain quality standards, and perform code reviews and mentorship.
