Candidates must possess a law degree from a U.S. accredited law school and be an active member in good standing with a state bar association, along with a minimum of 7 years of legal experience as an attorney on trade matters in a government agency, law firm, or in-house legal department in an international environment, and expertise in export controls and sanctions, including the OFAC and EAR regulations. A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is also required.
The Senior Counsel will provide legal advice on sanctions and export controls to business operations and senior leaders, collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the sanctions compliance program, participate in the implementation and enforcement of a governance framework, monitor and assess compliance risks, proactively identify and assess potential risks, and develop risk mitigation approaches while operating independently and managing multiple internal stakeholders to implement pragmatic solutions.
