Requirements

  • Successfully completed a business administration degree
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in auditing or comparable experience as a financial accountant in an industrial company or the energy sector
  • Excellent knowledge of financial accounting and preparation of financial statements according to IFRS and HGB
  • Tech-savvy and enjoys automating processes
  • Team player with a hands-on mentality and willingness to share knowledge
  • Fluent in German and English
  • Desire to contribute to a more sustainable future and view the energy revolution as essential

Responsibilities

  • Preparing complex matters in the area of metering operations
  • Documenting these matters and finding solutions to legally document them in their books
  • Responsibility for the guidelines of GOB (German Energy and Outage Regulations), trade, tax, and corporate law requirements, and accounting principles according to IFRS and HGB
  • Supporting the preparation of annual financial statements, including consolidation, and acting as a point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, and other stakeholders
  • Supporting the team in the preparation of monthly financial statements according to IFRS
  • Maintaining close communication with colleagues in the UK and other countries to establish uniform approaches and processes within the group
  • Contributing to the development, description, and optimization of end-to-end processes in accounting to continuously improve the internal control system
  • Participating in cross-functional projects and representing the interests of Finance
