Requirements

Minimum 7.5 years of experience (5–10 years preferred in cybersecurity, SIEM, or big data platform management)
Hands-on experience with QRadar, Splunk, and Hadoop ecosystem
Strong understanding of log management, data parsing, and threat detection
Experience with Linux administration, networking, and system performance tuning
Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, Shell) for automation and troubleshooting
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (15 years full-time education)
Preferred certifications: IBM QRadar Certified Deployment Professional, Splunk Certified Power User/Admin, Hortonworks/Cloudera Certified Administrator, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent
Security Platform Engineering (must-have skill)

Responsibilities

Administer and maintain QRadar infrastructure (console, event collectors, flow processors)
Integrate log sources and tune correlation rules and offenses in QRadar
Perform health checks, upgrades, and patch management for QRadar
Support incident response and forensic investigations using QRadar data
Manage Splunk Enterprise and Splunk Cloud environments
Develop and optimize dashboards, alerts, and reports for security and operational use cases in Splunk
Onboard data sources and configure parsing, indexing, and search performance in Splunk
Implement role-based access controls and app integrations in Splunk
Administer Hadoop clusters (HDFS, YARN, Hive, Spark) for big data analytics
Monitor cluster health, resource utilization, and job performance in Hadoop
Ensure data ingestion pipelines are secure, reliable, and scalable in Hadoop
Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams for platform enhancements
Ensure platform security, compliance, and audit readiness
Automate routine tasks using scripting (Python, Bash, Shell)
Maintain documentation including SOPs, architecture diagrams, and runbooks
Provide L2/L3 support and mentor junior platform engineers
Collaborate with SOC, data science, and infrastructure teams
