Requirements

  • PhD in Biomedical/Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience (or BS+8 years, MS+6 years)
  • Experience with lipid nanoparticle (LNP) formulation, QC, and characterization techniques
  • Hands-on experience with mouse handling, dosing, and tissue collection; intratracheal delivery (e.g., broncoscope) strongly preferred
  • Familiarity/experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., qPCR, DNA sequencing, mammalian cell culture, and flow cytometry preferred)
  • Strong organizational and critical thinking skills, attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to thrive in a cross-functional setting
  • Onsite 5 days a week in Cambridge, MA

Responsibilities

  • Design and formulate LNPs using microfluidics; characterize using DLS, zeta potential, pKa, and Ribogreen assays
  • Execute and support in vivo studies focused on pulmonary delivery of LNP formulations including intratracheal delivery in preclinical models
  • Collaborate with internal teams on study design, execution, data collection, and interpretation
  • Support downstream analyses using flow cytometry and molecular biology techniques
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate in vivo findings into delivery platform development
  • Present data in written reports and oral presentations
