Requirements

  • PhD in bioinformatics, life sciences, or related scientific discipline
  • 3-5+ years as a Tech Lead or in a similar role (e.g., Computational Biologist, Lead Scientist)
  • Experience using major biological resources such as Ensembl, UniProt, and Entrez
  • Proficient in data processing and wrangling tools such as Python, SQL, and Excel
  • Experience working with large datasets, preferably scientific databases
  • Experience with Immunological methods (in vitro, cell-based and analytical)
  • Experience with Genetics (cloning, CRISPR, NGS, PCR)
  • Experience with Analytical Biology (pharmacokinetics/pharmacodynamics, LC/MS, SPR)
  • Experience with In vivo studies (cell cultures, animal models)
  • Demonstrated interest in data curation with exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and contribute to the maintenance of bioinformatics ontologies
  • Integrate internal and external datasets into unified knowledge graphs or databases with appropriate metadata and provenance tracking
  • Maintain and enhance existing reagent mapping pipelines
  • Design and implement new pipelines to improve the efficiency of existing methods
  • Lead data analysis projects and evaluations to derive actionable biological or technical insights
  • Collaborate with software engineers and data scientists to optimize performance, automation, and data integrity
  • Drive the design and development of new bioinformatics features, tools, and pipelines
  • Lead research initiatives to expand and refine methods for data collection, integration, and analysis
  • Provide scientifically grounded recommendations to guide technical decisions
  • Mentor and support junior scientists
