Requirements
Candidates must have 5-8 years of experience in resource management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role within the localization and gaming industry. Proven expertise in managing resources for text translation, audio production, and desktop publishing in gaming localization projects is required, along with proficiency in CAT tools, audio production software, and DTP tools like Adobe InDesign.
Responsibilities
The Resource Management Lead will oversee resource planning and team management for a portfolio, ensuring effective assignment of translators, audio engineers, voice-over talent, and DTP specialists for gaming localization projects. They will forecast resource requirements, maintain a database of qualified resources, and develop/implement resource allocation strategies to optimize operational efficiency and workflow. This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with external vendors, evaluating their performance, and negotiating contracts. The Lead will collaborate with production and project managers to understand project requirements, ensure resource availability for complex projects, and provide insights on resource-related challenges. They will also work with quality assurance teams to maintain high standards, organize training programs, monitor resource budgets, and identify opportunities to leverage tech-enabled solutions and machine translations.
