Candidates must be pursuing Maryland State Licensure as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor (LGPC). A graduate of an approved 60-credit hour program and approved by the board as a Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor is required. Prior work experience in a counseling setting treating depression and anxiety, and independently conducting intakes and diagnosing according to the current DSM under a licensed supervisor is also necessary.
The Licensed Graduate Professional Counselor will provide counseling services to clients, focusing on treating depression and anxiety. They will independently conduct intakes, diagnose clients, and participate in supervisory meetings. The role requires full-time availability, working 30 hours per week with 25 client visits and 5 hours of administrative time.
