Requirements
- Located within commuting distance to Lexington, KY
- Previous experience in solar installation or a related field preferred but not required; on-the-job training available
- 80% travel required
- Familiarity with PV systems, wiring, and electrical codes
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at heights
- Ability to lift and carry heavy materials and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong communication skills and a focus on teamwork and collaboration
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel between job sites
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications are a plus
Responsibilities
- Install solar panel systems on residential and commercial rooftops and ground mounts
- Work closely with project managers and engineering teams to assess sites and conduct pre-installation inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies throughout the installation process
- Perform basic electrical work, including wiring and connecting solar systems to the grid
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with installed systems
- Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of work completed
- Participate in ongoing training to stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies
