Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in Red Team/Penetration Testing activities and at least 1 year of experience in a leadership role. Advanced experience with security assessment toolsets such as Metasploit, NMAP, Cobalt Strike, Nessus, and Burp Suite is required, along with a comprehensive understanding of security methodologies, technologies, and best practices. Proficiency in Windows, Linux, UNIX, and Mac operating systems, as well as advanced experience with networking components, firewalls, proxies, mail servers, and web servers is necessary. The role also requires advanced experience with operational support for operating systems, applications, and networks, as well as advanced experience in automation and scripting. Participation in the security community is highly preferred, and desirable certifications include OSCP, GPEN, OSCE, GCIH, and GXPN. Occasional travel may be required.
The Senior/Principal Consultant will lead a team performing Red Team activities to simulate threat actors and assess their impact on customer objectives across the Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK Framework. This role involves coordinating with senior leadership, planning and overseeing assessment execution, and assisting other CrowdStrike Services functions to improve customer security defenses. Responsibilities include acting as a primary contact for Red Team activities and penetration testing, developing reports with mitigation strategies for management and technical audiences, and effectively communicating at all organizational levels. The consultant will organize resources for penetration assessments, lead and assist in developing information security programs, provide guidance during enterprise-wide crisis scenarios, and function as an operator and project manager for various penetration testing offerings.
