  • Undergraduate degree or above in quantitative discipline required. Graduate degree and/or professional certification (CFA, FRM) preferred
  • Minimum of two years related work experience. Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong foundation of cross asset class investment knowledge
  • Ability to handle multiple, complex projects with attention to detail while meeting deadlines
  • Demonstrated quantitative and analytical skills
  • Experience with Python, R, SQL, or related programming languages highly desirable
  • Demonstrated ability to function in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment with multiple and diverse responsibilities
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Researches, evaluates, tests, and implements cutting-edge trading technology, analytics, data sources, and other tools
  • Works independently on transaction cost analysis, under the guidance of senior analysts, to maintain and enhance processes for trading desks based on rigorous research and quantitative analysis
  • Resolves issues involving data, infrastructure, and prototype technology tools leveraged by the transaction cost analysis processes. Enhances existing models, develops data sources and processes, and communicates results
  • Provides reporting and analytics to assist in shaping the future of the transaction cost analysis and trading agenda
  • Develops and maintains knowledge of market structure, microstructure, and transaction cost analysis in order to bring an informed perspective to the research process
  • Represents Vanguard effectively to internal and external audiences
  • Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned
