Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years hands on experience with Automation Frameworks like Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, WebDriver etc
  • Excellent programming skills in JavaScript or similar scripting languages (Java, Python)
  • Experienced in TDD and BDD
  • 2+ years in a full stack engineer capacity (comfortable building UIs and APIs)
  • Experience with Integration testing and CI environments such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Concourse
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related testing tools
  • Experienced in website support and dynamic content testing for web applications
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and SDLC, especially with web, mobile, connected device and OTT applications
  • Familiarity with current popular Connected Device/OTT (tvOS/Apple TV, Roku, Fire TV, Android TV, Xbox One, PS4, etc.)
  • Experience with testing and automating REST APIs and experienced on tools like POSTMAN, SOAPUI etc
  • Experience with Charles proxy, Splunk or similar logging tools and native server logging
  • Familiarity with applications supporting video/media playback
  • Experience with building test plans and coordinating QA/UAT with functional teams
  • Ability to adapt/adopt new technology and solutions easily
  • Good understanding of networking, SSL, firewalls
  • 5 to 7.5 years of experience as SDET
  • Mandatory skills: OTT Domain with Playwright, Cypress, Javascript, CICD, Python

Responsibilities

  • Create robust and scalable automated test suites to be run within a continuous integration workflow and in local development environments
  • Understand the proposition and use expertise in coming up with ‘out of the box’ scenarios using current territory (US and International Markets) knowledge
  • Create automated release test verification (per platform) of OTT devices against new features, and regression
  • Write and maintain common test libraries, utilities in Java/JavaScript/Python test frameworks
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies
  • Support remote team issues, triage process and potential defects, and understand prioritization of work assignments
  • Collaborate, support and communicate with multiple Quality Engineering teams across multiple time zones
  • Manage the creation, updates and status of issues detected during the test execution phase
  • Create Automated Test Execution reports to be shared with Stakeholders
  • Design and review test cases with territory (US and International Markets) expertise and use initiative to automate the current test pack for testing integrated applications
  • Support manual testing when necessary
