Requirements

Candidates must be licensed Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, board-certified, and hold a Master's in Nursing with active prescriptive authority in California. A minimum of one year of psychiatry practice experience is required, with three years being a plus. Understanding of Cerner is beneficial. Clinicians must be licensed and reside in California, be willing to treat clients aged 12 and up, and complete in-house training and certification for ADHD treatment. A $7500 ramp stipend/sign-on bonus is offered for a commitment of 25 clinical hours or more per week.

Responsibilities

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners will provide care to a diverse population with mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD, primarily serving adults and adolescents via telemedicine. Responsibilities include conducting psychiatric assessments and evaluations, prescribing medication as needed, creating and collaborating on client care plans, completing necessary paperwork and assessment tools, and adhering to clinical practice guidelines. They will also consult with directors and staff on clients, programs, and services, and make prescribing decisions based on client symptoms and diagnoses, without pushing stimulant medications.
