Requirements

  • Proven experience of at least 15 years as a Project Manager, Construction Manager, or a similar role in the construction industry, preferably in the industrial sector
  • In-depth knowledge of Construction Management principles such as scheduling, costing, and change management within the construction industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
  • Excellent negotiation and management skills to establish and maintain productive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and consultants
  • Proficient in using Project Management software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and other relevant tools such as Procore and MS Project
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines and managing competing priorities
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, quality control standards, and environmental sustainability practices relevant to the construction industry
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage industrial construction projects from concept development through design, construction, and project closeout, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with internal teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to develop project plans, schedules, and budgets that align with project goals and client expectations
  • Establish a Project Procurement Plan for timely and cost-efficient buy-out while reviewing and approving the requests for contracts submitted by the project team
  • Oversee the development of the projects’ baseline schedules and ensure that they are being routinely updated and reporting accurate information
  • Conduct regular site visits, inspections, and progress meetings to monitor project performance, address issues, and ensure compliance with project specifications and requirements
  • Manage project staffing requirements to optimize project efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service, communication, and project updates to ensure client satisfaction and project success
  • Implement risk management strategies, identify potential project risks, and develop mitigation plans to minimize project disruptions and financial impacts
  • Monitor project financials, track project costs, budgets, and expenditures, and provide accurate and timely project reporting to senior management and stakeholders
  • Foster a culture of safety, quality, and excellence within the project team, promoting best practices, compliance with industry standards, and continuous improvement
  • Lead project meetings, presentations, and negotiations with clients to address project requirements, changes, and challenges
  • Coach and counsel the project team members to assist with their professional development
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in industrial design and construction to drive innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence in project delivery
