Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Possess the skills necessary to execute the design of electrical and electronic systems and subsystems in accordance with accepted engineering practices, published codes, and regulations
  • Lead the design for show control from blue sky, through detailed design, production, installation, T&A, and opening to guests
  • Lead and mentor an engineering team through all phases of engineering design, production, installation, testing and documentation
  • Attend and lead design and peer reviews
  • Participate in all aspects of system design and testing
  • Produce engineering drawings, specifications, test plans, input to technical manuals based on Disney standards
  • Manage and develop complex attraction- or land-level budgets and schedules, while tracking personal and team progress against planned targets and actual performance
  • Extensive troubleshooting knowledge and skillset
  • Design management skills in a fast paced creative environment
  • Influence outside vendor product and industry standard development – domestic and international
  • Finalize detailed interface requirements between controls and ride mechanical and audio elements
