Requirements
- Texas medical license
- Active practice
- Board certification in Pain Management
- Experience and expertise in analyzing the application of CPT codes in combination with usual and customary rates and state fee schedules, in addition to clinical expertise
- Counter-affidavit/testimony/deposition work experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Accept cases on a contract basis as individual schedule permits
- Review all medical records
- Complete the counter-affidavit process addressing each question, all clinical concerns, and any charges/fee concerns based on expertise as a clinician and standards/norms in Texas practice
- Provide copies of any criteria utilized in a review with the report in a timely manner
- Return cases on or before the due date and time specified
- Perform other duties as assigned, including addressing any necessary clarification, providing addenda as required (with additional compensation), and identifying/responding to client questions as necessary
