Requirements
- Proven expertise in Oracle performance analysis and tuning
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle 19c, Active Data Guard, and Oracle Enterprise Manager
- Experience with migration projects and multi-platform environments (Solaris, AIX, Linux)
- Proficient in performance testing, query optimization, and AWR-based diagnostics
- Proactive, analytical, and collaborative professional capable of influencing technical decisions
Responsibilities
- Participate in infrastructure projects and collaborate with stakeholders to define and design target Oracle architectures
- Consider performance, storage, backup/restore, regulatory, and disaster recovery requirements
- Support performance testing and validation during project delivery
- Analyze production database activity and make recommendations for optimization across applications and infrastructure
- Conduct detailed monitoring and diagnostics (AWR reports, DB Time, Buffer Gets, Disk Reads, wait events, query analysis)
- Develop and support short-, mid-, and long-term performance improvement strategies
- Partner with application and infrastructure teams to implement recommendations
- Provide expert guidance on Oracle tuning, configuration standards, and database architecture improvements
- Support database migration to new platforms (IBM Power10 + AIX)
