Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA, with a strong focus on database performance tuning and management
  • In-depth knowledge of Oracle database architecture, installation, configuration, and administration
  • Expertise in RMAN for backup and recovery solutions
  • Strong skills in SQL and PL/SQL programming
  • Experience with Oracle performance tuning tools and techniques
  • Familiarity with Oracle cloud services and migration strategies is a plus
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex issues
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases, ensuring high availability and performance
  • Monitor database performance metrics and perform tuning and optimization when necessary
  • Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN and other tools
  • Conduct database audits and implement security measures to safeguard data
  • Collaborate with application teams to design and support database-related projects
  • Provide expert troubleshooting support for complex database issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and best practices
  • Stay updated on the latest Oracle technologies and innovations, recommending enhancements to current systems
