Requirements

Candidates should possess experience performing research and analysis on the semiconductor, networking, memory, and power/cooling industry, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the landscape and its key players, including incumbents and emerging entrants. Ideally, applicants should be commercially minded and have a deep knowledge of the industry.

Responsibilities

As an Operator-In-Residence, you will engage deeply with researchers to uncover and evaluate promising technologies coming out of academia and explore paths to commercialize them through partnership, licensing, or incubation. You will also dive into the commercial semiconductor landscape to identify white space opportunities by conducting customer discovery, understanding industry pain points, and collaborating with the investment team to validate and shape potential 0-to-1 companies. Furthermore, you will support Primary’s idea generation and vetting process, connecting with academics and researchers.
