Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum of two years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry (preferred)
- Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations
- Familiarity with AutoCAD 3D
- Excellent technical writing, organization, and communication skills
- Self-motivated and able to work well with others
- Technical degree (a plus)
- Knowledge of MicroStation and/or ESRI (a plus)
Responsibilities
- Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline as-builts and mechanical detail drawings
- Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD
- Generate bill of materials
- Work independently
- Print working drawings using a plotter
- Create estimated time requirements for projects
- Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules
- Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis
- Operate a scanner to duplicate project documents and scan field notes
- Complete pipeline 'as-built' drawings from field notes, historic documents, survey data, etc
- Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure
- Verify and organize field visit survey notes
- Assist Project Managers as needed
- Attend meetings as needed
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
