The salary range is $90,000 - $150,000 a year, based on market data, location, skills, expertise, depth of relevant experience, and other factors.
This role is based in the Saratoga, CA office.
Candidates need at least 3 years of non-academic satellite experience, 5+ years of hands-on CAD skills (SolidWorks expert) for models and drawings, experience implementing designs in complex space environments, and mechanical design for extreme environments and mass constraints.
The position reports to the VP, Satellite Platform and works closely with the broader engineering team and satellite sub-system teams.
A strong candidate has prior experience on a spacecraft engineering team, passion for designing and manufacturing satellite structures, deep knowledge, direct experience, and the ability to define, build, and test designs from prototypes to flight hardware.
