  • At least 3 solid years (non-academic) satellite experience
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience using CAD skills (SolidWorks) to develop and build models and drawings
  • Experience successfully implementing design solutions in a complex space environment
  • Experience with mechanical design to survive extreme environments and challenging mass constraints
  • Prior experience working on a spacecraft engineering team
  • Passion for designing and manufacturing satellite structures
  • Based in Saratoga, CA office
  • Hold work authorization for the location (no employment sponsorship)

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with satellite sub-system teams to design satellite structures and mechanisms
  • Be a CAD modeling expert (SolidWorks) managing CAD assemblies and drawings
  • Develop build documents and drawings for hardware
  • Define, build, and test designs from 3D printed engineering units to flight hardware
  • Support the fabrication, assembly, and testing of flight build
