Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the health of a team of ML, Backend, and Data Engineers, including hiring, coaching, mentoring, and hands-on career development
  • Accountable for team delivery, setting goals that balance ambition and sustainability, and proposing tradeoffs to optimize value
  • Accountable for the team’s technical strategy and architecture, collaborating with engineers to develop it, and ensuring the health of the team’s systems
  • Work with a product manager to ensure the team delivers products of value
  • Provide leadership to other efforts aligning with personal passion and Spotify’s needs, in collaboration with other managers and engineers
