Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with customers, quality, sourcing, and advanced operations partners to conduct customer research, technology research, design, testing, and documentation of electrical components and systems
  • Assist with prototyping and bench testing (Electrical Engineering Majors)
  • Support creation of embedded systems requirements/architecture (Electrical Engineering Majors)
  • Perform analysis for electromagnetic compliance (EMC), reliability, safety, cost, and design for manufacturing/assembly/test (Electrical Engineering Majors)
  • Work with multiple technologies including voltage regulators, mixed analog/digital circuits, embedded microcontrollers/microprocessors, FPGA’s, motor controllers and sensors (Electrical Engineering Majors)
  • Occasionally debug hardware using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other hardware tools (Electrical Engineering Majors)
  • Support development of procedures (Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors)
  • Assist with research and studies to support product design (Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors)
  • Support problem solving, identify potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements (Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors)
  • Assist in interpreting customer needs and understanding design inputs (Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors)
  • Learn the product’s intended use and clinical procedures (Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors)
  • Create or refine engineering documentation, such as the Design History file per company design control procedures (Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors)
  • Learn R&D procedures like design controls and risk management, per the Quality Management System (Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors)
  • Work cooperatively with R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, Regulatory, Clinical, Marketing and Project Management to ensure project success and contribute to the project as a team member (Software Engineering/Computer Science Majors)
