Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science or a related technical area, along with 1-3 years of programming experience in a professional setting. Proficiency in Python and its scientific computing ecosystem, including libraries such as numpy and Pandas, is preferred. Familiarity with the data engineering ecosystem and experience in processing financial data, machine learning, and quantitative research and trading are considered a plus. Candidates should be fast, rigorous, and critical thinkers, effective communicators, and highly motivated individuals capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
The Junior Quantitative Developer will design, develop, maintain, and optimize in-house research data platforms, ensuring reliable and high-quality data sources for quantitative researchers. They will establish protocols for data injection, processing, quality assurance, anomaly detection, and archiving, while also streamlining processes. The role involves working with external partners to onboard new datasets, conducting domain-specific data analysis and data mining, and collaborating with quantitative researchers to evaluate new data sources. Additionally, the developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining quantitative research tools.
