Requirements

  • 1-2 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
  • Hands-on experience with Polars or Pandas for data wrangling and analysis
  • Solid understanding of data pipeline design and ETL processes
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD)
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of Scala or Java in a data engineering context
  • Preferred: Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and efficient data pipelines for batch and real-time processing
  • Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting
  • Use Python (with Polars or Pandas) to clean, transform, and analyze large datasets
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other engineers to understand data needs and deliver high-quality solutions
  • Integrate pipelines into CI/CD environments and ensure robust version control and testing
  • Work in an Agile environment, participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
  • Optimize data processes for performance, scalability, and reliability
  • Contribute to data architecture and governance practices
