Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Materials Science, Physics, or a related field
  • Programming skills with Python and good understanding of Object Oriented concepts
  • Strong interest in software development, automation testing, and data analysis
  • Proven ability to work in a collaborative and interdisciplinary environment
  • Eager and driven to learn and contribute to innovative research projects
  • Experience in JavaScript and/or Electron Microscopy is a plus
  • Experience in building a graphical user interface is a benefit
  • Experience in optimization is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a team of Application Scientists to explore the application and automation of High Resolution Transmission Electron Microscopy for Materials Science
  • Support in creating and implementing advanced algorithms with our TEM scripting software and developing web-based user interface
  • Conduct extensive testing and evaluation on the microscope to ensure the flawless performance of the developed automation workflow
  • Contribute to the development of innovative solutions for complex scientific challenges
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to determine customer requirements and successfully implement them into the software
