The Opportunity

Flock Safety is seeking an Installation Technician to join our Field Operations team. Our team is composed of results-driven, detail-oriented individuals who combine a strong work ethic with critical thinking to install products that ensure customer satisfaction. Our technicians are the primary point of contact for our customers in the field.

Job Responsibilities

• Install poles of varying lengths according to installation specifications, including digging holes a minimum of 8” x 36”.
• Mount solar panels on poles and attach external batteries to solar panels.
• Affix license-plate reading cameras with PTZ (Pan, Tilt, Zoom) technology to poles.
• Work on both public and private roads, often on equipment 10-12’ high.
• Regularly operate a bucket truck and/or ladder to work on equipment up to 30 feet high.
• Perform minor repairs on underground irrigation or private wiring.
• Submit installation pictures via the Flock field app on a mobile device.
• Complete administrative tasks, including inventory management and receiving product shipments.
• Execute all work in a safe and professional manner.
• Meet with customers to discuss installation options and conduct site surveys.
• Interpret traffic control plans and permit drawings to identify correct installation locations for Flock devices.

Required Skillset

• Frequent/continuous bending, digging, reaching, climbing, squatting, sitting, standing, walking, driving, and independently lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Prior field experience is a plus (e.g., construction, security systems, low voltage wiring, or similar).
• Prior experience operating a bucket truck is beneficial.
• Comfortable driving a work van (Ford Transit) and occasionally a 1-ton pickup truck (Ram 3500) or towing a small trailer.
• Prior experience with power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment.
• Comfortable working on ladders at significant heights.
• Handyman-like experience, whether personal or professional.
• Strong time-management, organization, and communication skills.
• Desire to work outdoors and comfortability working in all weather conditions and outdoor elements.
• General technical aptitude and the ability/desire to learn and work with new software/tools.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Office Suite, Google Suite, and email.

Required Availability

• Monday - Friday during daylight hours.
• Overtime may be expected at times.
