Requirements
- Degree or appropriate level of industry and technical experience
- Experience of risk analysis, recording and evaluation
- Commercial and financial awareness, including knowledge of current trends to identify emerging and changing risks
- Excellent knowledge of the Aviva Group Risk Framework
- Good knowledge of the Distribution business
- Good knowledge of risk management techniques and developments
Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of the risk and governance framework across Distribution
- Provide expert support and challenge on Governance, Operational Risk, Compliance, and Financial Crime matters
- Oversee Aviva Investors’ UK Fund distribution arrangements (approximately 25% of the role), ensuring third-party partners comply with regulatory requirements and Aviva’s business standards
- Lead Risk Owner Meetings, deep dives, and support key business projects
- Oversee supplier governance activities, including strategy, operational oversight, and participation in the AI Supplier Forum
- Act as deputy for the Head of Distribution Risk & Governance when required
- Support the embedding of ORCM and promote a strong governance culture
- Manage relationships with Audit, Risk, Compliance, and AAF teams
- Own and maintain relevant policies
- Chair committees
- Lead on designated compliance requirements
- Provide day-to-day advice, training, and challenge to the Distribution Senior Leadership Team on all governance-related matters
