Requirements

  • 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or equivalent major or minor - Required
  • Professional certification as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) - Preferred
  • 2 Years of experience in Information Systems auditing or related operations - Required
  • Maintain an active membership in The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) - Required
  • Skills: Effectively apply internal and external customer service practices to meet quality service standards and achieve member satisfaction
  • Skills: Learn and apply information on Credit Union products, services, and regulatory compliance requirements to assess situations and develop solutions
  • Skills: Provide guidance in resolving problems using knowledge and experience
  • Skills: Use logic, reasoning, and mathematical skills to solve practical problems and make sound decisions
  • Skills: Communicate professionally, deliver information clearly and effectively, actively listen, and use tact and diplomacy in sensitive situations

Responsibilities

  • Develops, plans, and executes audit programs; performs, documents, and completes risk-based technology audits, complying with departmental procedures and charter
  • Serves as audit leader; gathers evidentiary support; makes recommendations for improvement; monitors implementation of management’s action plan
  • Reviews and evaluates the risk and internal control framework for Credit Union business units
  • Evaluates operations, internal controls, and security to assure adherence to laws and regulations for technology related systems and network functions
  • Develops audit procedures to test technology systems and processes for adequate control structure, performance, and network vulnerabilities
  • Performs research, testing, and analysis necessary to respond to requests, including technology audits, regulatory compliance audits, and NCUA inquiries
  • Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports
  • Provides consultative assistance to management and staff
  • Serves as system administrator for the automated system
  • Stays abreast of technology related audit industry codes and standards, as well as applicable State, Federal, and NCUA laws and regulations
  • Promotes the Credit Union by participating in special events
  • Maintains a professional image and demeanor, demonstrating Credit Union RISE Values and adhering to the Code of Ethics
  • Delivers friendly, caring service to internal and external members
  • Complies with all applicable State, Federal, and NCUA rules and regulations, and all Credit Union policies and procedures
  • Follows all physical and online security procedures and maintains strict confidentiality of member information
  • Completes all required regulatory and compliance training and maintains knowledge of Credit Union products and services
  • Works scheduled hours and maintains punctuality
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested
