High school diploma or equivalent
3+ years’ experience in a supervisory role
Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred
Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus
HACCP certification a plus; understanding of basic HACCP principles and ability to perform CCP monitoring verification
Knowledge of fresh meats processing a plus
Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections (fixed ladders, stairs, steps, etc.)
Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility (temperature ranges from 28-45 degrees)
Basic computer skills
Good written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of management
Team leader, problem solving, and motivation skills to take on special projects
Some travel required as needed

Responsibilities

Directing and training supervisors in all facets including production, paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, safety, problem solving, etc
Accountable for areas of performance, safety, quality, workers compensation, turnover, bid movement, Team Member morale, and other duties as needed
Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility
Managing all production supervisors
Department production schedules
Product rotation
CCP verification schedules
Overseeing safety committee
Reviewing team members in these roles
Developing and improving deficient areas
