Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory role
  • Two years employment at Tyson or equivalent experience preferred
  • Familiarity with processing floor operation is a plus
  • HACCP certification a plus; understanding of basic HACCP principles and ability to perform CCP monitoring verification
  • Knowledge of fresh meats processing a plus
  • Must be able to access all areas of the production floor to conduct audits and inspections (fixed ladders, stairs, steps, etc.)
  • Able to tolerate environmental conditions in the area of responsibility (temperature ranges from 28-45 degrees)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; able to communicate with all levels of management
  • Team leader, problem solving, and motivation skills to take on special projects
  • Some travel required as needed
  • Resume must be attached to qualify

Responsibilities

  • Directing and training supervisors in all facets including production, paperwork, yields, time and attendance, discipline, motivation, turnover, absenteeism, safety, problem solving, etc
  • Accountable for areas of performance, safety, quality, workers compensation, turnover, bid movement, Team Member morale, and other duties as needed
  • Responsible for all Production Operations at the facility
  • Managing all production supervisors
  • Department production schedules
  • Product rotation
  • CCP verification schedules
  • Overseeing safety committee
  • Reviewing team members in these roles
  • Developing and improving deficient areas
