Required experience includes 3+ years with a Rails backend, 3+ years with a front-end JavaScript framework (React preferred), and strong experience with Python. A solid understanding of API design and backend systems, along with experience in Agile/Scrum environments, is also necessary. The ability to break down technical items for business users and strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences are essential.
The Full Stack Engineer will contribute to the Test User Portal, engage with other VA engineers to understand their needs, and facilitate communication across VA teams on technical matters. They will enhance the Test User Portal and implement developer experience improvements under the Tech Lead's guidance, aiming for fewer defects, less toil, increased testing confidence, and greater satisfaction. This role involves developing, implementing, maintaining, and enforcing policies, procedures, standards, and requirements around testing across VA, conducting risk assessments, developing mitigation strategies for testing-related risks, and providing training on testing governance programs. The engineer will also take direction from senior leadership and translate it into concrete next steps and actions.
