Requirements

  • 3 months of work history with the same employer
  • Ability and willingness to perform basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
  • Ability and willingness to obtain a class III tow motor certification
  • Ability and willingness to complete the online Tyson Radiation RSO course
  • Ability and willingness to scan or input into the computer system all product film, boxes, casings, clips, and ingredients for all daily product runs, including change overs
  • Ability and willingness to follow formulations on computer and accurate record and report food safety or product information
  • Ability and willingness to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently
  • Ability and willingness to lift/lower/carry up to 20 pounds or greater with back and legs
  • Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment
  • Ability and willingness to flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently
  • Ability and willingness to stand/walk/climb/bend for up to 10 hours
  • Ability and willingness to work on elevated platforms/workstations
  • Ability and willingness to work in wet conditions and cold temperatures at 35 degrees

Responsibilities

  • Unloading incoming raw and frozen materials, loading materials onto lift, retrieve empty vats/tanks, and transfer product to the Roto Claw
  • Level, cover, scale, and label vats/tanks and store them in the appropriate locations
  • Record bar codes and tank weights on worksheets and into a computer program
  • Open and flip up to 60-pound boxes
  • Inspect for visible defects in the product and assure all plastic is removed before roto clawing product
  • Maintain proper conditions of the tow motor and battery
  • Perform the setup, operation, tear down, and minor maintenance of the Roto Claw
  • Rotate through all the Roto Claw and the combo folding position in Preblend
  • Crush and dispose of boxes, combo bins, liners, and pallets
  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the department
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements
  • Perform all positions of job rotation as needed
  • Perform any other work as assigned by management
