Requirements

Minimum of 3-5 years of Electrophysiology, Cath Lab, or Cardiology experience (i.e. rhythm interpretations and device interrogation and remote transmissions)
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
Current State of New Jersey nursing license to practice as a registered nurse
Current CPR certification and BLS

Responsibilities

Perform device interrogation clinics in various offices. Maintain appropriate patient records and document clinic visits. Enter device evaluations in EMR for clinical record
Review and follow up of escalated remote transmissions. Utilize Device Vendor Databases for escalated remote transmissions
Collaborate with office physicians regarding device management and concerns
Triage and assess patient problems/concerns while making sound nursing judgements. Demonstrate critical thinking skills and the ability to make decisions that provide optimal and timely patient care
Perform wound checks on post-procedure patients
Educate patients on importance of remote monitoring and utilization of remote devices
Coordinate follow-up plan with office staff to ensure patients obtain follow-up visits and other treatments as needed
Adhere to policies and procedures of the organization, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality regulations
Maintain nursing supplies and anticipate needed supplies. Maintain safe and clean working environment. Maintain cooperative relationship among health care teams, offices, and hospitals
Provide quality care to patients using the nursing process to assess and document care. Work cooperatively with ancillary staff, nursing, and providers to maintain standards. Promote patient health by managing long-term patient care. Assist physician in caring for patients with pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders
