Requirements

  • B.Sc. or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in hardware development, from component selection and PCB design to full system integration
  • Confident with lab equipment (multimeters, scopes, spectrum analyzers, near-field probes) and use them to diagnose and debug
  • Deep understanding of EMC principles and ability to troubleshoot EMI issues both in design and on the bench
  • Experience with PCB layout tools and 3D CAD, with a practical eye for clean, testable designs
  • Experienced in commissioning systems, debugging boards, and ensuring they survive real-world use
  • Familiar with hardware-in-the-loop and environmental testing, and understand how designs fail in the wild
  • Fluent English; German is a strong plus
  • Structured, fast-moving, and mission-driven; iterates until it works and loves building things that last

Responsibilities

  • Define and develop schematics for compute, communication, and power supply systems across flight platforms
  • Build, rework, and test hardware with speed and precision, both in simulation and in flight
  • Analyze designs via simulation and real-world testing, including EMI/EMC and thermal factors
  • Keep clear records of requirements, tradeoffs, test results, tuning procedures, and design rationale
  • Support hardware-in-the-loop and environmental validation workflows to ensure rugged, reliable designs
