Requirements

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED certificate, completed electrician trade school or vocational program, or a minimum of 2 years of industrial or commercial electrician experience. They must be able to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend, and demonstrate physical stamina and strength to perform tasks involving climbing, lifting, and working in various conditions. Familiarity with electrical codes and standards, blueprint reading skills, and knowledge of CMMS, automated control systems, PLC, remote actuated valves, and input/output panels are preferred qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in commercial buildings or manufacturing sites, inspecting systems to identify hazards and defects. They will ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations, diagnose and repair electrical issues quickly and safely, read and interpret blueprints and schematics, assist in planning electrical upgrades and maintenance events, and explain technical information to colleagues and department leads. Additionally, the Electrician will work independently and within a team, order parts and consumables, and potentially work alongside outside contractors.
