Requirements

Experience in Data Engineering
Python Proficiency (PySpark, mlflow)
SQL (backed by spark – Databricks)
Solutions Driven and Delivery: Committed to delivering incremental value to users, not just writing code
Effective Communication: Able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Lifecycle Ownership: Experience and desire to own solutions throughout their development lifecycle – from design and testing to deployment and monitoring
Team Player: Collaborative and supportive, working well within a team environment
Automation mindset - be it testing, monitoring, or operational processes; drive for as little manual intervention as possible
Infrastructure as Code - experience with Terraform to deliver scalable production platforms on Azure Cloud
Azure Databricks, and Azure Analytics Services (Azure OpenAI service, Azure Data Factory etc)
Experience in Azure DevOps & Docker container for efficient software development process (version control, CI/CD etc) with Agile software development
Domain knowledge in Financial Services/Banking
Appreciation for event-based architecture and how this applies to a big data platform

Responsibilities

Work closely with stakeholders and specialists across ClearBank
Help build a best-in-class data platform
Support data science initiatives
Deliver bespoke data and insights from the growing Data Lakehouse
Contribute to frictionless integrations, automated data processing, and advanced analytics pipelines
Embed data into the bank's DNA and enable customer growth
