Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or a related field
  • Advanced degrees or certifications in Controls Engineering or related areas are a plus
  • 8+ years of experience in Controls Engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience in programming and configuring PLCs, SCADA, and other control systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in control system software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Must be willing to relocate to Warsaw, Indiana (relocation assistance provided)
  • Ability to travel (up to 10%)
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop control systems and algorithms to meet the specific needs of the manufacturing line
  • Program and configure PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition), and other control interfaces
  • Conduct system integration, testing, and debugging to ensure functionality and reliability
  • Perform regular maintenance checks on control systems and affiliated machinery
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to control systems to minimize downtime
  • Maintain and upgrade existing control systems to enhance efficiency and longevity
  • Conduct system analysis to evaluate performance and identify areas for improvement
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize production processes
  • Collaborate with other engineers and departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes
  • Ensure all control systems comply with industry standards and safety regulations
  • Maintain accurate documentation of control system designs, configurations, and maintenance activities
  • Prepare and present regular reports on control system performance to senior management
  • Provide training and technical support to maintenance staff and users on control systems
  • Stay up to date with the latest technology trends in control engineering
