Candidates must possess a minimum of 3 years of welding experience in a petrochemical or related industrial fabrication facility, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints, ISO's, field drawings, and material takeoffs. Successful completion of pre-employment weld tests is also required.
Combination Welders will perform a range of duties which include but are not limited to welding various metals using processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GTAW, selecting, setting up, and staging equipment, double-checking the fit of pipe or other structural pieces, and ensuring proper attachment and accounting for shrinkage, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety and detail.
