Requirements

Candidates must be based in New York and excited to work in an in-person environment. A recent medical school graduate or up to 8 years of hospital or clinic experience is required. Candidates should have a desire to pivot towards the startup world while still working in healthcare, a willingness to become more technical, and thrive in fast-paced environments. Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills are essential, and some technical literacy, such as experience with coding or programming, is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Clinician Scientist will conduct detailed clinical assessments of AI outputs throughout the product lifecycle, providing actionable insights to Product and AI Engineering teams. They will own the aggregation and triage of AI pipeline flaws, devise measurement methods, and help shape product direction alongside leaders in Product, Design, and Engineering. Additionally, they will drive process improvement, translate problems across domains, and may work directly in the codebase to enhance AI pipeline performance.
