About the Job

This role involves providing clinical supervision to an assigned group of Resident Talk Therapists who deliver diagnostic assessments, therapy, and counseling in an outpatient setting. The caseload is diverse, potentially including adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide supervision to a minimum of six (6) resident clinicians.
  • Conduct weekly group supervision sessions.
  • Provide individual supervision to each resident clinician for every 15 clinical hours, equating to a minimum of 7 hours per week (this varies based on the Resident's caseload size).
  • Maintain a clinical caseload of 15-25 client sessions per week (not supervision-only).
  • Provide oversight for documentation.
  • Coach resident clinicians on their professional and clinical development.
  • Complete weekly documentation to evidence supervision sessions.
  • Complete coaching documentation regarding any disciplinary or performance concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Clinical Director on any performance issues.
  • Perform duties as outlined in the Clinical Supervisor Expectations document.

Qualifications

  • Enjoy being part of a team and working collaboratively for professional development.
  • Possess strong character, including integrity, honesty, adaptability, and a commitment to quality of care.
  • Ability to be appropriately assertive in coaching residents on professional and clinical goals.
  • Hold an active license in good standing and reside within the state in which supervision will be provided.
  • Meet state regulatory requirements for supervision, including maintaining necessary licenses and certifications for supervising license-in-process individuals. Prior approval by the state board for supervision is preferred.
  • Have active credentialing with the required Incident-to panels within the state where supervision will be provided.
  • Must have been a Thriveworks Clinician for at least 3 months.

Supervisor Requirements for LPC in VA

  • Hold an active, unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in Virginia.
  • Have at least two years of post-licensure clinical experience.
  • Have received professional training in supervision, consisting of 3 credit hours or 4.0 quarter hours in graduate-level coursework, or at least 20 hours of continuing education in supervision from an approved provider.
  • Be listed on the supervisory registry.

Compensation

  • Supervision:
    • Group Supervision Session: $54.37
    • Individual Supervision Session: $70.67
    • If the 90837-session code compensation is greater than the individual supervision rate, the 90837 rates (vs code) will be used.
  • Providers will receive a code to document their supervision hours and are required to complete recording documentation of such supervision.
