Full Stack Tech Lead / Sr. Developer

Position Overview

AIG’s Information Technology functions include enterprise architecture, software and systems engineering, cybersecurity, and technology risk and compliance.

How You Will Create an Impact

As a Full Stack Tech Lead / Sr. Developer, you will lead a technical team or serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for application development. Your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with architecture and design teams on high-level design reviews.
• Creating Low-level design (LLD) deliverables.
• Identifying and managing development dependencies.
• Contributing to a culture of quality.
• Identifying issue root causes, triaging, and resolving defects.
• Following and improving development best practices.
• Supporting sprint and end-to-end testing phases.
• Supporting the onboarding of new team members.

Your technical and functional scope will include analysis, development, and unit testing of one or more areas of AIG’s Standard Commercial Underwriting Platform (SCUP) platform full technology stack, including:

• User interface
• Integration
• Java / Spring business service development
• Related transactional data stores
• Mulesoft

What You'll Need to Succeed

We are looking for a strong quality-focused individual capable of leading a small team and performing software development. You should be:

• Able to work independently or collaborate with a team.
• Able to effectively communicate with leads, functional, and technical team members.
• Striving for continuous improvement of the applications you support.

Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience supporting E2E design, development, and delivery in the financial services sector.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Hands-on insurance domain development & architecture experience.
• Expertise in Java full stack application development & architecture implementation.
• Hands-on full stack development experience with an emphasis on Java or Angular applications.
• Experience with Duck Creek Policy or equivalent solutions is a plus.
• Working knowledge of cloud computing paradigms, prominent industry design patterns, and agile development methodologies.

Employment Details

• Employment Type: Full time
• Location Type: Primarily in-office
• Salary: $99,000 - $143,000 (Jersey City, NJ)
• Bonus: Eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.
