Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice and actionable recommendations that align with business objectives and mitigate risk
  • Lead and manage Medicaid litigation, including coordination with outside counsel, internal stakeholders, and budgets to achieve favorable outcomes
  • Advise business clients on related legal and regulatory matters, with a key focus on Medicaid litigation
  • Apply knowledge of legal specialties with business acumen to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and coordinate legal projects
  • Contribute to overall results of an SBU or CEE unit and/or department using professional legal concepts
  • Provide instructions to junior members of the department and concise, timely briefings to senior level business and legal management
  • Work on complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation of various factors
  • Serve as a resource for other attorneys, paralegals, and business clients on technical and tactical issues
  • Assess and mitigate risk, reporting identified business exposures, associated risks, and mitigation techniques to management
