AI Tutor, Finance Specialist

Position Overview

As an AI Tutor, Finance Specialist, you will contribute to developing AI that understands complex financial principles, markets, and instruments. Your expertise will ensure precision in AI outputs used in financial planning, investment analysis, and economic modeling.

Location & Work Expectations

• Location Type: Fully remote
• Work Expectations: Variable time commitments. Services provided are supplementary and not integral to Handshake’s primary business operations. Contractor’s services are distinct and separate from the core business activities of Handshake.

Responsibilities

• Review and correct AI-generated financial analyses and terminology.
• Validate data related to economics, accounting, investment strategy, and corporate finance.
• Work with engineers to refine content evaluation tools.
• Interpret financial statements and macroeconomic trends for model training.
• Stay aligned with industry and regulatory updates.

Requirements

• Education: PhD in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Strong background in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, or economic theory.
  • Excellent writing and synthesis skills.
  • Comfortable explaining complex concepts to non-experts.
  • Interest in fintech and AI applications.
• Additional Requirements:
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new skills and evolving requirements.
  • Personal device must support Windows 10 or macOS Big Sur 11.0 or later.
  • Reliable access to a smartphone.

Bonus Areas of Expertise

• CFA or CPA certification.
• Teaching or tutoring finance/economics.
• Experience in banking, investment, or consulting.
• Published financial research or white papers.
