Requirements

Good understanding of the Affordability rules under which regulated lenders are expected to assess consumers including the Consumer Credit Act and the FCA handbook
Able to strategise about what current and new data sources could be used to enhance the accuracy of affordability assessments and to establish new approaches
Product Management experience
Knowledge of the available data sources relevant to the assessment of affordability for the purpose of consumer credit lending
Proven experience in leading Product Innovation execution
Experience in credit reference data and open banking data
Experience of the lenders JTBD in the risk and affordability decision flows for both new and existing customers
Awareness of relevant regulation and regulators (FCA / PRA)
Understanding and experience across financial services
Ideally experienced in working with data, products and services within the Financial Services Domain

Responsibilities

Establishing a deep product expertise from a technical and market perspective, solving industry and client challenges
Specialising in the consumer lending market, requiring specialist understanding of the industry and data used within it
Focusing on extracting value, benefits, features and functionality translating into client and customer value
Defining product innovation and executing into product roadmaps
Supporting go-to market plans and marketing campaigns for specific products
Innovating and challenging the status quo as the market evolves to new legislation
