Requirements

Highly motivated and technically creative professionals with experience in the small molecule-biologics interfacial area or related discipline
Industrial or graduate research experience with Linker-Payload (L-P), Antibody-Drug Conjugates (ADCs) / Antibody-Oligonucleotide conjugates (AOCs), and conjugation chemistry/engineering (desired but not required for outstanding candidates)
Strong background in one or more of: Pharmaceutical development, Physical chemistry, Crystallization, Engineering, Kinetic and Process Modeling, Spectroscopy/PAT, Bioconjugation development, and/or Purification
Ability to solve challenging problems through mechanistic thinking, modeling, and data-rich experimentation

Responsibilities

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on phase-appropriate development of small molecule chemistry and unit operations for L-P synthesis (reactions, extractions, isolations such as crystallization and amorphous precipitation, chromatographic purification)
Develop ADC/AOC bioconjugation processes, including conjugation chemistry and tangential flow filtration
Support technical transfer to clinical and commercial manufacturing
Contribute to innovative platform technologies, such as continuous processing, automation solutions, advanced data mining and modeling, and process modeling for optimization
Conduct laboratory work to develop data supporting projects and platform development
Participate in the design and work in a new state-of-the-art research lab for high potent ADCs to support Lilly medicines Foundry
