Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, with a Master’s degree being a plus, and have at least 10 years of experience in software engineering leadership, with a significant portion focused on building and scaling complex software platforms. Strong experience with modern AI development tools and practices, including agentic coding and LLM-enabled workflows, is required. Demonstrated success in aligning engineering execution with global customer outcomes and articulating strategic vision to engineering organizations is also necessary.

Responsibilities

As the VP of Engineering, you will lead the entire engineering organization, overseeing the full lifecycle of distributed solar products, from customer acquisition to system design and installation. You will be responsible for modernizing the software architecture to increase iteration speed while reducing blast radius, championing a culture of accountability, agility, and roll-forward momentum. Major priorities include aligning the team on evolving product priorities, extending the platform’s depth and compliance for international markets, deepening financing integrations, and building out the consumer marketplace. You will lead and develop a team of Directors and Senior Directors, guiding them to operate with greater clarity, urgency, and impact, and overseeing IT, security, and GRC functions to maintain trust with customers and partners.
