Position Overview:

Montu is seeking a Senior Risk Specialist to join its team. In this influential role, you will be the subject matter expert in risk management, supporting the development and implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management strategy and frameworks. You will help shape a proactive, positive risk culture across the Montu group, ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and operational resilience.


Responsibilities:

Risk Strategy & Frameworks:

  • Assist in designing, implementing, and continuously improving the risk management strategy, appetite statements, and supporting frameworks.
  • Integrate risk management into Montu’s strategic planning processes, identifying and addressing strategic and emerging risks.
  • Provide advice and insights to senior management on risk trends, mitigation strategies, and industry best practices.
  • Design and embed robust, value-based risk management frameworks covering financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
  • Establish scalable and consistent risk policies and tools across the organisation.
  • Lead risk and control assessments, deep dives, and change/project risk reviews, including fraud and third-party risk.
  • Support the development of an operational resilience framework, including business continuity plans and crisis management protocols.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of a Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) system.

Reporting & Governance:

  • Implement monitoring, reporting, and escalation processes to centralise risk management across Montu.
  • Prepare risk reporting and develop Risk Appetite metrics dashboards.

Training & Education:

  • Develop and deliver risk training programs across all levels of the organisation, fostering a positive risk culture and strong risk awareness.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, finance, business, or a related discipline.
    • Master’s or professional certification (e.g., CRMP, FRM) highly desirable.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in risk roles within highly regulated industries (ideally pharmaceuticals, healthcare, or insurance).
  • Proven strategic thinker with a proactive and hands-on approach to risk management.
  • Deep expertise in risk and control assessments, controls design, risk dashboards, and risk appetite embedment.
  • Experience with risk software tools or GRC systems is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with Fraud, Third Party, and Business Continuity risk is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with sound decision-making capability.
  • Confident self-starter who can lead in a dynamic, fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Excellent project management, prioritisation, and coordination skills.
  • Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships and influence at all levels.
  • High ethical standards.
