The Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager to deliver engaging and efficacious K-14 learning solutions for schools and districts. The primary focus is managing product capabilities that help scale Khan Academy for Districts and specifically address the needs of district administrators in administering the product effectively for their district classrooms. This role will leverage the power of AI, particularly with the recent launch of Khanmigo, to enhance product capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Vision & Strategy: Establish the vision and strategy for reporting and insights across all products for all user personas (district admins, teachers, learners, parents).
  • Product Execution: Drive product execution, including requirements elaboration, communication, alignment, research, roadmap ownership, and managing trade-offs, to enable rapid iterations of build-measure-learn while ensuring product stability.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other teams to create the desired user experience, specifically for:
    • Providing useful, understandable, and accessible metrics to assess learner/teacher activation, activity, achievement, and growth.
    • Providing actionable insights and recommendations within user experiences (e.g., recommendations for teachers, parents, learners).
  • Reporting & Insights Consistency: Collaborate with other PMs to ensure reporting and insights are consistent and promote desired classroom and learner engagement.
  • Outcome Ownership: Own outcomes related to reporting and insights impacting user experiences.

Requirements

  • Strong product management skills
  • Experience with product strategy and roadmap development
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of user experience design principles
  • Data analysis and interpretation skills
