Candidates must possess at least 5 years of experience in mobile app development, with a minimum of 3 years focused on React Native, including hands-on experience building and scaling consumer-facing apps. Strong proficiency in TypeScript, including familiarity with modern TypeScript libraries and tooling is required, along with experience in developing mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms and shipping React Native apps on the web. A solid understanding of RESTful APIs and integration with back-end services is also necessary. Knowledge of WebSockets, offline storage, and performance tuning is beneficial, as is experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. Familiarity with native build tools (Xcode for iOS, Android Studio for Android) and native modules is expected.
The Senior Mobile Engineer will lead the design, development, and maintenance of high-quality mobile applications for iOS and Android using React Native, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless and efficient solutions. They will mentor junior developers, providing guidance and sharing best practices, and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability. The role also involves conducting code reviews, staying up-to-date with industry trends, troubleshooting complex technical issues, and participating in all stages of the software development lifecycle. Contributing to the architecture and technical direction of the mobile platforms, as well as participating in the development and operation of a live mobile app in a growth stage with on-call experience, is also part of the responsibilities.
