Requirements

Candidates must possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification, and have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience within the solar industry, encompassing project design, development, and/or construction. Fluency in Portuguese, English, and Spanish is required, along with experience in grid connection and PV plant construction in Portugal. Strong communication and project management skills are also necessary.

Responsibilities

The PV Engineer will be responsible for assessing the suitability of project sites, preparing technical drawings for permit applications and construction, preparing tender documents for EPC contracting, and delivering technical drawings and calculation notes for solar project design in Spain. They will also perform technical assessments, including solar irradiation and performance analyses, support technology choices, identify and mitigate technical risks, conduct site inspections before, during, and after construction, and support the commissioning and operational phases of projects. Furthermore, the role involves technical advisory work and gradually evolving towards project management responsibilities, encompassing construction and operational activities.
